Welcome to the home page of Warrington Golf Society.
The Warrington Golf Society is run by its' members for the pleasure of its' members. The aims are for all to enjoy the game of golf, whilst participating in a great social event on the day.
The society year starts in January, and involves a Winter Match Play Competition over four meetings between January and March, and the main competition, which involves 10 meetings between April and October. Meetings are held every three weeks, at various courses over the North West and North Wales, usually within one hour's travelling time from Warrington.
Each meeting normally consists of: Coffee and Bacon sandwich on arrival; 18 holes of golf; 2 or 3 course meal followed by prizegiving. Prizes are awarded for competition winner and runner-up, team prize, nearest the pin, nearest the pin in two, longest drive low handicap, and longest drive high handicap. At the last meeting of the season, prizes are awarded for the overall season winners (Order of Merit and Runner-up, Team of the Year, Players' Player of the Year, Lowest Nett Score, and Winter Comp Match Play winner).
If you would like to join the society, or would like more information, please contact the Society Secretary whose details are on the Contacts page.
